Club News:
Our Club started the month with a dinner program featuring Mr. Michael Fuller of P4P (Pipeline for Progress). Mike is chief of staff for state Assemblyman Thomas O'Mara. P4P is trying to create an environment in Chemung County where talented people feel welcome. He said the group wants to prevent talented young people from leaving the area, and to lure back those who have already left. The dinner speaker for our second meeting, Dave Retsher, Senior Field Supervisor of Erway Ambulance. Dave mentioned the rigorous training that goes into an Emergency Medical Technician. In an emergency situation they may be more prepared to handle the case than a nurse or a physician. The Erway Ambulance operations has recently moved to a new location on College Ave. in Elmira Heights.
